  Went to Max and Irma's for dinner on Oct. 21, 2016. The menu had changed and was much smaller. Several of the items we liked best were no longer available. np, wife got a steak, I got the fish and chips, bowl of chicken soup, and a cookie. The chicken soup was terrible, Campbell's soup is far better! The steak was one of worst I have ever seen. My wife thought it was very TUFF! I gave her my oily fish and took the steak, it was tuff and devoid of flavor. Must have been an old milk cow. I was glad we had decided to split the (VERY small) cookie because when I broke it in half it was raw inside, (runny). We showed the raw cookie to the waitress and asked her to take it off the bill, which she did, oddly without acknowledging the cookie was raw, or even saying a single word. 2 stars because the drinks were good. To: MAX & IRMA'S - We won't be going back. There are many good restaurants in Carmel, IN and this is no longer one of them. We've seen this business model before, you will be out of business soon.

  I'm only giving this two stars because the cookies are amazing. The service, TERRIBLE. Thomas at the bar is the rudest person I've EVER met, quite honestly. I did call the manager after my experience and she was super nice and ready to help with all of my concerns. Again, if it wasn't for the cookies and the manager, this would be a 0 star rating.
